Katie Rubano, Realtor/Broker Associate

I’ve always had a desire to help others and seek out ways to do so, which naturally led me to a career in assisting people with their largest investment. I started out as a respiratory therapist in California before moving to Colorado, working for several years with acute and critical care adult patients, and then with pediatric and NICU patients at Colorado Children’s Hospital. Eventually I ventured into medical sales. I fell in love with sales, seeing it as another way to help people solve their problems. That’s what I love most about being a real estate agent, I get to help people resolve issues and build wealth through homeownership.

My love of design, architecture and real estate started as a child. After extensive remodeling of my own home and completing a few fix and flips, I began my real estate career. I work with a wide variety of clients, from first time home buyers to downsizers. I’ve been able to strategically help my buyers get under contract in competitive situations by using cash lenders. Earning the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation, allows me to understand and assist retirees, those wanting to retire, and anyone who wants to downsize their home and upsize their lifestyle.

A life-long learner, I put myself through school while working first earning an AA degree, then bachelor’s degree and finally an MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver. In real estate I continue this process by attending classes, seminars and self-directed learning which empowers me to help my seller’s sell their homes quickly, at top dollar, and help buyers find the home of their dreams in competitive offer situations.

In my free time I like to cook, try new restaurants, hike, cycle, snowshoe, visit the DCPA for Broadway shows, dance Argentine Tango and volunteer.
