Sloan's Lake is a unique and special place in Denver: a ribbon of green surrounding a great sheet of water that opens the park to the sky, with the office towers of Downtown Denver rising on the east and the snow-capped Rocky Mountains spread across the western horizon. The park is a haven for both people and wildlife – an inner city retreat where one can enjoy the expansive views, water, openness and natural beauty of the place.

A perfect day in Sloan's Lake according to West + Main agent Heather Truhan:
My favorite brunch spot in town is Swift's Kitchen - Down home classic diner where you can still get an affordable & hearty breakfast on Colfax. No frills and sometimes that's just what you need. Steak & Eggs, Gyros Omelette, Real Hash Browns. It's a CASH ONLY relic, but it doesn't take many bills here for a classic breakfast.
A delicious lunch restaurant is Seedstock Brewery. When the weather is nice, this is a great place to kick back with a local brew and some street tacos. They often have food trucks on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so make sure to check out their calendar. Another great, low key and delicious option is Classic Eats Delicatessen - experience the art that is their Cuban.
Catch dinner and a movie at BarFly/Alamo Draft House - You just can't beat a movie theatre with a bar, and they often show old classics. What to Order? The Bee's Knees or Aviation & Asian Salad
You'll love the Lakewood Dry Gulch Park, which is still a hidden gem of the neighborhood. The quiet W-Line light rail follows along it, and if you walk the trail from Federal to Sheridan (or even all the way to Mile High Station), you'll find frisbee golf, playgrounds, a community garden, many dog lovers, and wildlife. Architecture lovers will enjoy the contrast of Stuart Street Historic District and quickly emerging modern homes.
