The decision to buy a house can be overwhelming. Not everyone has the same reason to want to purchase their own home, but here's three questions you can ask yourself to determine if you're ready to make the leap.

1) Why am I buying a home in the first place?

What does owning a home mean to you? Are you looking for more space? A safer space? A space more suitable for a family?

2) Where are home values headed?

If you wait until next year to buy, is that going to save or cost you money?

3) Where are mortgage rates headed?

The long-term cost of your home can be greatly effected by mortgage rate. If the mortgage rate is on the rise, it'll cost you more to buy a home the longer you wait.
