No one likes to see bugs inside their space, but many of us aren't comfortable dousing our homes in toxic chemicals-especially if we have little ones or pets. below are several natural ways to ward off bugs.

SEAL IT UP.

One of the simplest places to start keeping bugs out is making sure your doors and windows are properly sealed. Even the smallest crack or tear in a screen can let in intruders, and once they're in, they can nest.

CITRUS TRAPS.

Spiders dislike the odor of citrus, so keep small mesh baggies of orange peels around your home, and refresh every few weeks.

CORNMEAL.

Did you know ants can't digest cornmeal? But, this doesn't keep them from eating it, and when they do, they don't survive. If you notice ants inside,…

June saw increases in inventory, days on market and months of inventory, which is good news for homebuyers.

“Over the past few years, the fireworks from our housing market were visible from almost every street corner,” said Steve Danyliw, Chairman of the DMAR Market Trends Committee and Metro Denver REALTOR®. “Those fireworks, while still around, are not being seen in every neighborhood. It’s important to remember that a transition to a balanced market doesn't mean a bubble is around the corner.”

Active listings in the residential market (single-family and condos) were at 7,436 total units in June. The number of sold listings increased by 15.52 percent compared to the previous month, and 5.34 percent from last June. Year to date, there…

The #1 Colors to Increase Curb Appeal and the Selling Price of Your Home

We just talked about what colors to paint every room in your house to increase its value (Read that post here!) but what about the exterior?

You don’t need a touchscreen refrigerator, a WiFi-enabled thermostat or color-changing light bulbs to pump up the sale price of your home.

In fact, all you need is a black door.

That’s according to online real estate database Zillow, which released an analysis Wednesday after examining some 135,000 photos from listings across the U.S. since 2010. Zillow found that on average, houses with black or charcoal gray front doors sold for as much as $6,271 more than expected.

Whether you're putting your house on the market or just want your space to sparkle, clean windows can really help your home look brighter from the inside, and out.

Most experts suggest cleaning your windows at least twice a year, or at the end of every season. Below are a few insider tips for cleaner windows.

Make your own mix. According to Gardenista.com, a great DIY cleaning solution is as follows: combine juice of ½ lemon, one tablespoon of cornstarch, ½ cup white vinegar and one cup for water. Mix well, transfer to a spray bottle and go. While the solution may appear chalky at first, keep rubbing for sparkling windows.

Rub with newspaper. Instead of using paper towels to clean your windows, try newspaper for a better shine.

Clean your screens.

However, there are things you can do to lengthen the life of your oven. Below are a few tips.

Keep it clean. Obviously, regularly cleaning your oven can help lengthen its life, as gunked-up ovens have to work harder to heat. Doing a good, deep clean of your oven at least once a year—or more if you use it frequently—should help. And while many ovens do have self-cleaning options, some professionals caution against them, so check with a pro about your particular model before you flick that switch.

Keep rust at bay. Rust, even if only on the outside, can shorten your oven's life…
